It should be a requirement to clean an area before work can be safely and effectively carried out.

The best way to include everyone in the team is to assign staff to a specific area of the warehouse to clean. Assign a worker to a zone they work in often so that they are more familiar with their surroundings. They can then confidently clean this specific area diligently without making a mess before leaving. Ensuring this is done regularly will help with workload and make the area cleaner and easier to use for colleagues.
Ensure cleaning equipment is accessible
If you want your employees to keep the warehouse space clean and safe you need to provide the right equipment and storage facilities. Make sure the equipment is stored conveniently so that employees don’t have to search for cleaning materials.
Recycle items
It’s very important to encourage your employees to act responsibly and recycle or reuse items in the warehouse where possible. Ensure recycle bins are placed in the workplace so that employees are disposing of waste in the right place. This will make sure that supplies that are being used in the operation can be reused instead of being replaced, reducing costs and making your operation more sustainable as a result.
Keep track of inventory
