UK Regulations on smoking within the workplace

Our UK Smoking Shelters ensure your business complies with legislation governing the workplace around smoking on work premises. On the 1st July 2007, the UK saw a new law come into force, the Health Act 2006. This legislation made it illegal to smoke in public places and was put in place to reduce the rates of smoking and protect individuals in public places and the workplace from second-hand smoke.

Premier Smoking Shelter

This shelter features a curved roof made from translucent polycarbonate panels, giving up to 97% UV protection. The contemporary design provides a modern and aesthetically pleasing smoking area away from main entrances and exits.

Choice of clear perspex or powder-coated steel perforated side & back panels.
More than 50% open area to allow rapid dispersal of cigarette fumes.
Suitable for up to 9 people.
Parabolts for surface mounting included. Must be bolted to 250mm thick concrete for stability.
Site survey and installation service available.

Traditional Smoking Shelter

Legislation throughout the UK banning smoking in public places including the workplace has resulted in employers adopting new codes of practice to accommodate smokers. These shelters enable establishments to create a designated smoking area away from main entrances and exits.

6mm clear perspex sides with the choice of perforated steel or perspex back.
More than 50% open area to allow rapid dispersal of cigarette fumes.
Smaller shelters suitable for up to 9 people, larger shelters for up to 12 people.

Wall Mounted Smoking Shelter

Our Wall Mounted Smoking Shelters are perfect for locations where space is more limited. The shelter provides cover for up to 8 smokers.

Translucent polycarbonate roof provides up to 97% UV protection.
Greater than 50% open.
Fixes to a suitable wall on one side (fixings not included) while supporting legs bolted to the floor (parabolts included).
