We take a closer look at recycling at QMP and how we have put many steps into action to operate more effectively. QMP has adapted processes to reuse and recycle materials to ensure we act as a responsible business and make a positive contribution towards caring for the environment.

Here are just a few examples of recycling at QMP and the <\/strong>
steps we take to reduce, reuse and recycle in the workplace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waste metal is collected from all of our punching machines and laser cutting machine. This metal is then transported off-site to be melted down and recycled, creating reformed steel that can be reused in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our investment in the Powder Plant ensures QMP operates this machine at 50% efficiency. As our metal products travel through the powder-coating machine, any surplus powder is reclaimed and vacuumed through a filter, and sent to a hopper to be reused to paint new items.

Any cardboard and plastic waste materials are compressed and tied with banding. We then stack these on pallets ready for collection, to be taken off-site to waste distribution centre where they are recycled into new materials.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Finally, QMP are continually looking to develop it’s green credentials. We have invested heavily in solar panels to ensure we are developing energy saving methods in our facility. This will help us to operate energy-efficiently and allow us to recycle any unused energy back to our national grid.
