QMP Cycle Shelters are attractive external shelters designed to provide weather cover for bikes, motor-scooters and motor-bikes.
The UK Government is actively encouraging the increased use of cycles. Cycles are seen as a healthier and less polluting means of transport. Government initiatives include the national Bike It! Scheme aimed at school children. This scheme is co-funded by the Dept of Transport and the British cycle industry and is designed to encourage youngsters to cycle to school. Government grants to erect Cycle Shelters are available for schools which create a qualifying School Travel Plan.
QMP’s Shelters for Bike and Motorbike storage come with a range of design options designed to meet different needs and budgets. The Traditional Cycle Shelter is a free-standing unit for 6 bikes. It is available with a choice of steel side panels. It can be used to store motorbikes and scooters, if required. The Premier Cycle Shelter holds up to 8 bikes and has the option of clear Perspex side panels for all round visibility.
All QMP’s Shelters for Cycles are made from high-grade steel box section covered with a tough epoxy powder coating. Dependant on model, the side and roof panels are made either from steel or UV resistant Perspex or polycarbonate. For some models, cycle racks are integral.
QMP Cycle Racks are designed to offer cost effective, space efficient and design conscious means of securing cycles. Twin level racks permit the best use of space. Double sided racks allow more cyclists access at the same time. Bike Loops and Hoop Racks encourage padlocking the bike frame for added security from theft.
Should one of our standard designs or sizes of Cycle Shelter not suit, QMP is able to offer a bespoke manufacturing service. For a modest increase in cost, our designs can be tailored to your exact requirements.
